Our design can be reproduced on a QUANTUM® XL-6000, XL-5000, XL-1000, XL-150 or Futura™ (CE-200 & CE-100) with appropriate software. To stitch out this design we used sheer fabric for the appliqué and Robison-Anton® Super Brite® polyester embroidery thread in the following colors:

  • 2740 – Pro Peacock (Color 1 & 2)
  • 2492 – J Turquoise (Body)
  • 1010 – Emerald Metallic (Colors 4 & 5)
  • 2380 – Mulberry (Color 6)
  • 2304 – Lake Blue (Color 7)
  • 2519 – Surf Blue

Materials needed:

  • Butterick Pattern B4664 (View C). Yardage given is for a size medium (12-14)
    Fabric
  • 1 yard 60" wide deep green velvet
  • 1-½ yard 45" lining
  • ½ yard of fabric for applique
  • 2 yards of beading
  • 2 yards of 1" wide deep green satin ribbon
  • 1-½ yards of ½" wide deep green satin ribbon


    • Stabilizers
  • 1 yard tear away adhesive backed stabilizer


    • Notions
  • Chalk marker
  • Bobbinfill
  • Chromium needles size 14
  • Hand sewing needle
  • Thread to match deep green velvet fabric
